Breckenridge Gallery

Founded in 1969, we are proud to be Summit County’s longest-running fine art gallery. Today, Breckenridge Gallery is owned and operated by Tina Rossi and Alex Kendall, who took over for long-time owners Gary and Janet Freese as they passed the torch in Fall 2017.   Tina has worked for Gary and Janet for over 7 years helping manage the gallery and its collection. Alex, a local photographer, is joining Tina as they start a new chapter for the Gallery. While it will retain its well-known focus on fine art from the Western U.S. and beyond, Tina and Alex will be adding a fresh approach to the collection with more frequent special exhibits from the very best in landscape, abstract, portrait, nature, and wildlife artists.   We hope you’ll come see our recently renovated studio in the heart of downtown, upstairs at 124 South Main Street—our same location just across the street from Downstairs at Eric’s.   Stop by or simply give us a call at 970 453 2592. We look forward to seeing you!

Raitman Art Galleries

In 2007, Art on a Whim Galleries opened with a unique idea. Art should make us smile. It should be uplifting. Inspiring. Fun. Galleries should be a place for exploration and discovery, places where we can get lost in a world of interesting, original artwork. In their tenth year, the galleries have evolved into something new. With the same owners and the same focus, Art on a Whim has morphed into Raitman Art Galleries. The Raitman’s Colorado Contemporary focus showcases our region’s most masterful artists in painting, sculpture and more. Their expertise and family friendly atmosphere make it easy to find the perfect addition to any art collection. With galleries in both Breckenridge and Vail, an exciting exhibition schedule throughout the year and brand new works always on display, you cannot miss this gallery!

Summit County Arts Council, a non-profit is a self-supporting, all volunteer organization. We provide a number of educational outreach programs by facilitating hands-on art experience and instruction, we team up with other Summit County non-profits for joint fundraising and we operate an art gallery in Breckenridge that supports artwork produced by local artists. The art gallery provides a showcase for their creativity, as well as an environment for artistic growth. Through exhibits, fundraisers, educational outreach programs and art fairs we enrich the artistic culture in Summit County, Colorado.

Breckenridge Arts District

The Breckenridge Arts District is the region’s newest epicenter of creativity, bringing together studios, galleries, performance spaces, historic landmarks, public art, restaurants, cafes, and other creative businesses that animate and populate a vibrant cultural corridor in downtown Breckenridge. The Arts District’s core attraction is a new multi-facility arts campus that hosts workshops, exhibits, artists-in-residence, and a variety of other activities for locals and visitors alike. With a focus on educational and experiential enrichment, programs include classes in several media such as textiles, ceramics, metalwork, painting, and more. Complete with decorative plazas and sculpture gardens, the Arts District campus serves as a community gathering place and a catalyst for creative expression in Breckenridge.
