Greg DiGregorio

ABOUT

Greg DiGregorio
Greg DiGregorio started making wine at an early age with his grandparents and great uncle who immigrated from Italy to Colorado where they brought their wine making traditions. In these formative years, he would help prep the wine barrels by cleaning and filling them with water and crush the grapes the best he could with a manual hand crusher over an open barrel. This introduction to making wine spurred his interest where he continued to make wine his own as a hobby after college and experimented with various varietals to grow in the Colorado Front
Range.

Being a geologist and enamored with the outdoors, he continued to nurture his interest in winemaking, the terroirs across many of the wine regions in the US and Europe and using this knowledge to create wines using both traditional to new world winemaking techniques. In 2019 he had the opportunity to start making wine commercially for FallenDown Tree Vineyards in Lockwood California as their winemaker as well as for himself at Taboche Winery. Today, Greg continues to grow his Taboche Winery operations and evolve his wine making techniques, make wine for FDT in addition to another vineyard in Lockwood. He has since garnished several awards in Colorado and California for his cabernet sauvignon and malbec wines.
